Antibiotics are used to treat many different bacterial infections. Antibiotics cure disease by killing or injuring bacteria. Bacteria are simple one-celled organisms. Bacteria can be found, by the billions, all around us: on furniture and counter-tops, in the soil, and on plants and animals. They are a natural and needed part of life. Bacteria cause disease and infection when they are able to gain access to more vulnerable parts of our bodies and multiply rapidly. Bacteria can infect many parts of the body: eyes, ears, throat, sinuses, lungs, airways, skin, stomach, colon, bones, genitals. |

Amoxil is a penicillin antibiotic. Amoxil kills or stops the growth of bacteria that cause infection. It treats many different kinds of infections of the skin, respiratory tract, sinuses, ear, and kidney. Amoxil also treats some sexually transmitted disease. Generic Amoxil capsules are available, but not generic chewable tablets. |

Cleocin-T hydrochloride or Clindamycin is an antibiotic used to treat acne. Clindamycin is an antiparasitic drug used in combination with pyrimethamine for maintenance treatment of toxoplasmosis. Clindamycin is used for treatment of skin infections, respiratory tract infections, septicemia, abdominal infections, gynecologic infections, and topical treatment of severe acne. |

Sumycin is a tetracycline antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. Sumycin is also used with other medicines for treating acne. Sumycin may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. |

Zithromax is a macrolide antibiotic that interferes with the growth of bacterial cells. It is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. Zithromax also treats sexually transmitted vaginal or urinary tract infections caused by chlamydia. It will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections. Generic Zithromax tablets are not yet available. |
